OUR FIRM
Since its foundation in January 1987, Sanada Patent Firm has handled a wide variety of cases for earning intellectual property rights such as patents in Japan and other countries. Sanada Patent Firm is a long-established firm with a proven track record. Our main clients include major domestic manufacturers.
In recent years, we have entered into advisory contracts with several small and medium-sized companies. We have been putting effort into consulting services as well by, for example, giving advice on building intellectual property strategies in accordance with the companies’ individual management strategies.
For many years, our president patent attorney has been active as an essential patent evaluator in organizations such as Japan Intellectual Property Arbitration Center (JIPAC) and International Patent Evaluation Consortium (IPEC) at the frontline of affairs related to technical standards. Our in-office attorneys have also been active in the field by assisting the president. We also have a proven track record in evaluation, training, and consultation on standard essential patents (SEPs). We believe we are able to provide you with various kinds of support related to SEPs.

MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT
Establishment of the Intellectual Property Fundamental Law in 2003 has resulted in promotion and execution of the Intellectual Property Strategic Program. The Intellectual Property Strategic Program identifies the three phases that comprise the intellectual creation cycle, namely, creation, protection, and exploitation of intellectual property.
We at Sanada Patent Firm provide our clients with timely and high-quality services in each phase of such an intellectual creation cycle.
- In the creation area of intellectual property, we support the promotion and creation of high-quality intellectual property in both companies and universities.
- In the protection area of intellectual property, we support the acquisition of rights that are effective throughout the world, based on the companies’ strategies for intellectual property.
- In the exploitation area of intellectual property, we support the practice of the rights mentioned above, as well as evaluation of standard essential patents (SEPs), brand protection, and enhancement of intellectual property management.
Our support comes from our exceptional technical comprehension, constant advancement of skills, clear and concise communication skills, and solid support framework, together with our ability to understand our clients’ positions. 1. Action to understand thoughts of our clients
- In preparing applications and responding to office actions, we aim to provide proposal-based services that go beyond mere agential services. For example, when forwarding drafts, we add appropriate easy-to-understand comments for our clients.
- Our specialized attorneys and staff in the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering handle a wide range of inventions. In addition to this, our services include prosecution and evaluation of intellectual property rights related to technical standards.
- We provide brand consulting services that match the business strategies of small and medium-sized companies.
2. Action to meet the needs of our clients

職場環境
（1）テレワークについて
当事務所は、出社勤務と在宅勤務（テレワーク）の両方を採用しており、各自が自由に選択可能となっています。
弁理士および特許技術者のほとんどは、週の半分以上を在宅勤務としています。
（2）時差出勤制について
当事務所は、時差出勤制を採用しています。
コアタイムは11時～16時、フレキシブルタイムは7時半～19時半となっています。
各自がそれぞれの生活スタイルに合わせて、柔軟に働くことができます。
（3）教育環境について
当事務所は、特許初心者の方や新卒で入所した方が、先輩所員による丁寧な指導のもとで成長する環境が整っています。
現在在籍している弁理士および特許技術者12名のうち7名は、特許初心者または新卒で入所し、ここで力をつけました。
（4）オンライン会議について
クライアント様とのオンライン会議や、所員同士によるオンライン会議がスムーズに実施できるよう、会議室には各種設備が整っています。
また、会議が重なった場合には、集中ブースを使用したオンライン会議も可能です。
（5）オフィスデスクとレイアウトについて
所員のデスクは、前方および左右がパーティションで仕切られており、業務に集中できる環境となっています。一方で、ワンフロアに各自のデスクが配置されており、周囲の人とコミュニケーションが取りやすいようなオフィスレイアウトにもなっています。
（6）その他
当事務所は、女性の弁理士および特許技術者も多く活躍しています。
また、普段はカジュアルな服装での出社勤務が可能です。
職場の周りは緑が多くお店もたくさんあり、昼休みや業務終了後の気分転換には最適な場所です。
